US and Iraq
Terrorist Attacks
Independent Research Project

Introduction
Terrorist attacks around the world have been consistently evolving throughout the last couple of decades. In this report, data about terrorist attacks from 1970 to 2017 are analyzed to examine how terrorism has changed in the United States and Iraq. Information about the number of attacks in each country each year, the number of casualties, and the density of the attacks per state for the United States and per province for Iraq are observed. Publicly available census data is also utilized to understand the correlation between population and number of attacks or casualties in the United States.
